    As the saying goes your liferaft should only be deployed as a last resort. Many times rescuers have arrived to find the vessel still afloat.
   
Pull on painter to operate
   
Tie painter to strong point and throw
liferaft overboard
Pull on painter line (approx 13mtrs)
and give a sharp tug to operate
   
Liferaft inflates in approx 20 secs
gather equipment and board raft
   
Liferaft will inflate in approx 20 seconds
Load equipment from vessel (grab bag, EPIRB etc) and board liferaft
   
Using paddles from liferaft move away from vessel
Use flares to signal to rescuers
   
Using paddles from liferaft move
away from vessel
Post a lookout and use flares to signal to rescuers when sighted.
