Roaring Forties inflatable lifejacket

RF 1061

SMA's Inflatable PFD is for general purpose use and exceeds Australian Standards A.S.1512 for PFD Type 1. With the new marine regulations, it's more important than ever you have the most comfortable PFD 1 for constant use. RF 1061 is just that - so lightweight and noncumbersome you'll almost forget it's there.

Also available in automatic version.

  SAVER Helicopter vest

The survival vest casing is constructed from fire resistant Probane or Nomex fabric.  Reflective tape is attached to the collar and a spray hood is installed inside the collar of the vest.  The spray hood helps to reduce the amount of water contact on the face from the waves and wind spray.


There are pockets to stow survival equipment such as an EPIRB, water, signaling mirror, sea-marker pack or mini-flare kit.  The vest has a pocket on the upper left breast to hold an activated EPIRB.
The bladder is created from high performance fabric from the USA. It is welded with a 6mm bar welder.

The survival vest has a buoyancy of >160 Newtons.

The vest is approved by Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) ATSO-1C13
 

Foam Lifejackets

 
Roaring Forties foam lifejackets always provide a comfortable, good free float in the water. Using a specialised warp knit polyester fabric to manufacture all of the range of ROARING FORTIES PFD's (Type 1, 2 & 3). This fabric is not coated with plastic or polyurethane and thus provides easy permeability of water in and out of the fabric for consistency in buoyancy. The fabric also looks better for longer with a minimum colour fastness to light & sea water of 4 on a grey scale. Contain loose closed cell foam in the PFDs. This ensures PFDs are light, durable and very comfortable to wear for long periods. This is especially important with the introduction of new Lifejacket regulations
